Update: They finally added fingerprint/pin code. Kudos. However I am done. I paid for a year and I am just done with this app 5 months in. Their tutorials are terrible. You have to go on YT (Nick True is a good recommendation) for detailed instructions. That shouldn't be the case for a paid service. I have spent hours watching their videos and they are nowhere near as helpful as YTrs. I will never subscribe again. ots such a shame.

More than an app, it's a budgeting system that's made all the difference for us. YNAB allows flexibility--even if you don't stick the budget exactly (and who does?) it gives you a way to roll with the punches. When we started YNAB combined with Dave Ramsey's steps (they work beautifully together), we went from living paycheck to paycheck, being in debt and having no savings to living on last month's income, only mortgage debt, never overdrawing, and we've paid cash for our last two cars.

The best personal finance app out there! It was quite confusing in the beginning but once you understand the idea behind and with a little bit of effort to learn basic principles of Accounting, it is actually very simple. Using YNAB I can \"visualize\" how I can use my money in the bank account and I can spend it with confident as I know I how much left in the budget in each category. Tips: link YNAB to your bank account. Feedback: add camera to scan the bill and auto populate the amount.

YNAB became part of my daily life. It helps to track my spendings, to identify where is possible to save money and to use these savings to other more meaningful things. It is very comforting to me that I can budget my spendings and not being worried about not getting by at the end of the months. The app is constantly developed and gets better and better. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like ynab.. but honestly it doesn't really work for me for 2 reasons: transactions from your bank take like 5 days to post to ynab...for me, it makes it more difficult to keep track. I also had to reset everything at one point and found getting back to the correct balance almost impossible without inputting incorrect transactions to even it out. It's just not as user friendly as I had hoped. If bank transactions would hit ynab within a day or two later, I would keep it.

YNAB is amazing! They have a lot of support for it through their website. It will really make you think about money and allocate your pay in a way that makes sense! The user screens are really easy to navigate and if you get stuck, reach out to ynab support or the facebook community... everyone is willing to help! YNAB is more than just an app, its a whole new (and better) way to budget!!

This is a great companion app to the website. It has a clean interface and is very responsive. It's simple to add transactions and move money around. Syncs quickly with the web version. Would love to see a couple of improvements: more reports and trends like the website has, and widgets which can display various budget categories on your home screen.

Cant get into it. Its set up rigidly in a monthly format which doesnt work at all with my bi-weekly commitments. I tried to look up tips to work around this on their site as well as reddit, and the best that can come up with is that for bi-weekly payments set it up like (payment)x26÷12 to get your monthly payment, but the problem is that you're not actually balancing anything then and I thought the whole point was to avoid floating bills and cash. Easier to just down on a paper so its flexible.

Nice app and method, but they have customers screaming for functionally and they don't seem to make those demands a priority. i suggest, let the customers vote on the next set of features. Back to the method, the app is built around ynab thinking, so to get the most out of the app, be ready to change how you think.

I really like the envelope system and the app is a great way to visualize your money. I would recommend this app to anyone looking to track how much they're spending. However, I find the goal system to be limited. You can set an amount to put towards a catagory each month and it will tell you how far from that goal you are. You can set a goal to have an overall amount in a catagory, but that gives you no visual indication outside of the info tab, unlike the per month goal.
